We already stated that Code Generation is something to be considered when choosing a code generation tool. However, thinking of details like standardization, ease of use and usability, we realise that we need more.

What about using one tool for developing Java code, another tool for Javascript, another one for XML, HTML and so on? It would be more difficult. There is no reason for separating activities which are performed by the same person, at the same time. This is what makes IDEs useful - it's also the reason why a code generation tool would better be part of an IDE.
